Gafieira Rio Miami, the incredible 11-piece “big band”, will perform live on Sunday, April 21st, at 8pm, at the Sanctuary of the Arts in Coral Gables, FL. Led by bassist and Latin GRAMMY winner Diogo Brown, this phenomenal group features lively samba percussion, a powerful brass section, and the beautiful voice of Isa Duarte. This special show will also feature professional gafieira dancers Cristina Ramos and Joe Ferreira. With support from the Consulate General of Brazil in Miami, this show entitled “Discovering Gafieira” will celebrate the date on which Brazil was discovered by the Portuguese in 1500, when they landed on the coast of Bahia. The repertoire will feature songs from the debut album “Bring Back Samba”, as well as new songs with arrangements of classics by Caetano Veloso, Jorge Benjor and much more!
